The Weekly Wind Down

It’s Thursday, so the weekend is nearly here! Thursday evenings are one of my favorites of the week because they are full of the hope and excitement the weekend brings, and the Monday blues are not yet looming. After getting through Monday and Tuesday and surviving the Wednesday plateau, Thursdays are perfect for winding down and preparing for the weekend.

My typical Thursday evening involves the latest Netflix show I’m hooked on, a good read, a glass of wine, or maybe even some coloring.  My sister gave me this beautiful Splendid Cities book with intricate pages of popular cities, and I am loving it!

I don’t often have time to read, but I’ve been getting better about carving some time out in the evenings for just that. My bedside lineup of books to read will show you that I have a wide range of fiction to get through. I’m currently reading Khaled Hosseini’s And the Mountains Echoed, and it is WONDERFUL.

I am a strong believer in taking time out of the day to do something you enjoy. As someone who often works every day of the week, it’s important to have some time to breathe and relax. Whether you’re out for a walk or staying in with a book, I hope your weekend brings the downtime needed to recharge for the week ahead!
